Anya is a Baltimore-based interdisciplinary writer and studio artist who has a variety of interests in sculpture, bookmaking, poetry, and drawing. Their work investigates the relational logics that people use to organize sensory perception, particularly through the lens of neurodivergent and queer experience. These patterns of thought, conscious or not, inform the way people move through everyday social architectures like time and identity. By physically engaging the everyday objects and technologies that construct their perceptual reality, Anya’s interactive art objects collaborate with the viewer to co-create new relationships with social reality.
Anya will graduate with their MFA in Multidisciplinary Art from MICA’s Mt. Royal School of Art in 2027. When they’re not working on their various projects they are probably cooking Thai food, editing yet another passion project, rewatching Star Trek for the twentieth time, or harassing their beautiful cats.
