Liminal

2019 (gelatin silver print)

“When people talk about autism it’s all about trying to ‘fix’ us. We’re caught between the world and what that world makes of us. I’ve spent so much of my life wearing the faces they’ve made for me that I’ve never seen my own. These photos are my way of coming to terms with a sense of self.”

Liminal won the President’s Key Award in the 2019 student juried exhibition at Messiah University.
